As with all my salves, this one too is made in small batches with utmost care without any water, chemicals or preservatives. Body Salve gets absorbed fairly quickly, being patient with the initial greasiness is well worth it!
The list of ingredients is the same as for the Body Bliss - the difference? Raw Organic Shea Butter constitutes over a 1/3 of the mixture giving it the creamiest, yummiest texture.
Since we are talking body salve here, I can add some essential oils if you wish:
Styrax Benzoin Essential Oil (delicious caramel/vanilla like scent),
Frangipani Essential Oil (think those flowers from Hawaii)
Frankincense Essential Oil
What’s in the cream base?
Candelilla wax (organic)
Shea butter (unrefined organic)
Cocoa butter (unrefined organic)
Organic raw extra virgin coconut oil
Organic golden jojoba oil
These beauties have magical properties of their own - have fun exploring the net!
We are depending on the antioxidant properties of cocoa butter as a preservative. Aim to use within 2 months. Keep in the fridge, especially if using sparingly to extend this window for another month.
